The annual picnic for Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple held on Sunday, June 12, 2011, at El Marino Park in Culver City. This year, members of the West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple were invited to join us. There was lots of good food (as usual) brought by temple members, and the games & activities were a lot of fun. Reverend John joined in a pick-up game of basketball, and displayed some amazing hops (hard to believe you spend so many Sundays in temple instead of the basketball court, Sensei!).
