The Tsunami And The Cherry Blossom is a stunning visual poem about the ephemeral nature of life and the healing power of Japan’s most beloved flower.

Director Lucy Walker takes us to Japan, directly to the areas hardest hit by the March 11 earthquake & tsunami. The film introduces us to survivors who speak of the tragedy and discuss how they find courage to revive and rebuild as cherry blossom season begins.

As the nation continues to rebuild, and communities continue to support their efforts, we hope you’ll be able to share this film with your network. The story of Fukushima, and the survivors of the tsunami continues.
