Buddhist Education Committee (B.E.C.)

Coordinates and promotes the religious education activities of the Temple.

Dharma School
On Sunday mornings from 9:30am, the temple holds a Dharma service for the families of our temple. Guests are always welcome. The program consists of incense offering, sutra chanting, gatha singing and listening to the teaching of the Buddha from the minister(s) and in discussions. Dharma School classes are held following service for students from pre-school through high-school.

Japanese Sunday Service
Dharma gatherings in Japanese are held monthly on the first Sunday of every month at 1:30pm.

Sangha, Metta, and Padma Classes
Classes for the Scouting religious awards, the Sangha award for Boy Scouts, the Metta Award for Webelos and the Padma Award for Girl Scouts are available to those boys and girls participating in the scouting program.

Meinichi-ko Service
A memorial service for Shinran Shonin is held every 16th of the month at 7:30am.

Daily Sutra Chanting
Daily Sutra Chanting (o-asaji…morning service) is held every morning at 9:30am.
