TROOP 5325

The Girl Scout group of Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple is Girl Scout Troop 5325. The troop consists of girls 2nd grade and older, which is divided into different groups and ranks. All the girls work towards goals to earn various badges.

Some of the activities of the troop include trips, crafts, temple activities, fund raisers, and singing songs.  Activities that help the community include visiting the Keiro Home and other nursing homes, as well as other local community event projects.

  • Santa Barbara train trip Tuesday June 26.  See e-mail this week.
  • Pay your 2012-2013 annual Girl Scout dues utilizing your e-biz account.  Payment by credit card or debit card only.  Scot Kawano will assist at next meeting. 
  • Sign up for shifts for June 2 County Fair  troop Aloha Toss Booth

Previous Announcements:

  • Brownie sleepover at the temple is Friday, May 18 starting at 7:00 pm and lasting until Saturday morning May 19 at 8:30 am.  Sign up.
  • County Fair is June 2, 10AM-3PM at St. John’s Presbyterian Church.  Our troop will be running the Aloha Toss Game.   Sign up for a shift.
  • Venice Japanese Community Center (VJCC) Carnival is Saturday & Sunday June 23-24.  Everyone needs to work one shift.
  • Camp Stuff ‘n’ Such is July 30-August 3, 2012 at Burton Chase Park in Marina del Rey.  This year’s theme is “Scouting Paradise”.  Application and fee required.
  • All families should have received an e-mail about how to sign up for a Girl Scout eBiz account.  Instructions can be found on this link.  You will utilize this account to process your annual registration electronically.
