The Adult Buddhist Association held its annual Country-style Breakfast, featuring char-shu fried rice, sausage, eggs, and fruit. In conjunction with the breakfast, the Sangha Teens held a bake sale and there was a Pre-Mothers Day sale of accessories from Cambodia by Women for Women.

On May 12, 2012, the Jr YBA participated in a clean-up of the Japanese American National War Memorial Court at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center. Five membrs of the VHBT Jr. YBA took part in Spit & Polish 2, the cleaning of the National Japanese American Veterans Memorial Court at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center. The cleaning was in preparation for a Veterans Day ceremnony next weekend. Participating along with the five members of Jr YBA were students from North High (Torrance) and players from the Tigers Youth Organization. After the clean-up, the participants were treated to pizza and heard from two WWII veterans.
