Meet and learn from Mr. Yoshi Murakami, Chief Manager of Boutique Sake and Sake Sommelier. Yoshi is originally from Hiroshima, Japan, and has enjoyed living in Southern California for the last 13 years. He has always been a wine enthusiast, but five years ago, Yoshi became intrigued with the many facets of sake and immersed himself in its history, production, varieties, tastes, and flavors.
Yoshi says when you ask people the question, “When do you like to drink sake?” the most common reply is, “When I am eating sushi.” He thought that way, too, until he discovered many pairings of different foods with different varieties of sake. Have you ever tried white chocolate or cherries or Gouda cheese with sake? You will have the opportunity to do so at the Sake & Food Tasting event. Your taste buds will thank you!
