Here is the information for our Eitaikyo service on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 9:30AM PDT. We are pleased to have Rev. Marvin Harada, Bishop of the Buddhist Churches of America, as our guest speaker. We will also be reading the names of everyone in our Eitaikyo book during the Hyobyakumon. We will also be displaying our new Onaijin articles: Uchishiki & Mizuhiki, the beautiful cloths that are presented on the Obutsudans, the Tocho (the cloth that adorns the Buddha), and the oko (incense) pot. Rev. Kory will also be wearing his new robes.
Finally, we will say thank you and sayonara to our Virtual Sangha – the cardboard likenesses of many of us who filled our place in the Hondo during the pandemic. We will offer photos of the “real” folks next to their likenesses. And, we will serve Otoki following the Service.
